The first rule to winning is to think you can win. If you don't give yourself a chance to win by thinking you're outmatched, then unless your opponent is a total buffoon, she's already won. Don't worry too much about class or your level differential. You must go into the battle thinking you can win or, if you're a healer, at least survive christian louboutin indefinitely. Hardware and connection


The harsh reality is that because World of Warcraft is a computer game -- an MMORPG -- your hardware and connection speed matters. You will need a computer that exceeds the minimum requirements of Wrath of the Lich King and, later on, Cataclysm. The game can be processor-intensive at times, and a hot processor simply bogs down and can sometimes create all sorts of havoc with your system -- anything from crashing the application to slowing everything down. If you want to put up a fight, the last thing you want is WoW crashing on you, which will leave your opponents a target that's running in place or standing still (basically, a free honorable kill).


It's no surprise that most avid PvP players invest in their hardware, simply because it's more critical than, say, handing the graphics output of a boss encounter. In fact, the regular event that demands the most resources in World of Warcraft both on the server and client sides is Wintergrasp, a PvP encounter. Tol Barad in Cataclysm will be demanding to your system, as well, albeit the map has been designed to spread players out.


One way to alleviate the demands of the game to your system is to set the video settings low. You won't need any of the fancy graphics to kill an opponent, so if your computer isn't up to snuff, then set your video quality to low, with the probable exceptions of View Distance, which allows you to see objects and opponents farther, and Projected Textures, which renders area-of-effect spells on surfaces. You should also turn down your resolution to 1x multi-sampling, which will make everything look jagged but will render much faster. Your game will look like crap, but you'll see a significant jump in your game's performance. Everything will feel snappier. Uglier, yes, but definitely snappier.


You will also want peripherals that do their job passably well, which means you might want to invest in multi-button mice. I highly recommend the Razer Naga, but basically any mouse that has more buttons than your basic two-button mouse ed hardy should already help you access spells much easier than your keyboard. Likewise, you'll want a responsive keyboard that allows you to hit all the necessary buttons very easily. This means your most important spells should be within reasonable reach of your keyboard fingers (e.g., for smaller hands, keys 7 to = will be inconvenient). Equally (or perhaps even more important) than hardware is your internet connection. Because data is transmitted from your computer to Blizzard's servers and back again, the speed at which this information travels is critical. Let's say you have two players pressing a potential killing blow button at the exact same time; the player who has the faster connection will almost always get the upper hand. This is a sad reality for players in Asia such as myself or elsewhere who must continually contend with high latencies owing to the simple, incontrovertible reality that longer distances will translate to delays in relaying information.


A faster connection will help if only because it allows you to send more packets of data without getting constricted. If you play with a green latency bar or green screen icon (0-300 ms), you should be good. Yellow (301-600 ms) will probably see some delays in your spells, and red (601+ ms) will render you unable to compete at the highest levels. At yellow and red latencies, you will even have problems targeting because the information you are getting will no longer be real time. For example, with a high latency, you will be receiving late data such that your targets may no longer be in the same place that they are currently. Melee classes will receive common errors such as "target is too far away," despite being right on top of their opponents on their screen.


Here's the kicker: Players who have poorer-quality connections will have to adjust. Your opponents will not know -- and will not care -- if you're suffering from a high latency. In fact, they'll probably take it as an invitation to take you to town. So adjust. Melee classes will need to learn to move in a particular way such as to ensure optimal gucci handbags contact with their opponents; this means taking advantage of lateral movement and strafing very often. Combat in close quarters is good, such as the tunnel in Warsong Gulch, because it minimizes instances of erroneous targeting. Ranged classes have far greater room for error because of automatic targeting and range. Once you have gotten used to the nuances of a high latency, you'll perform even better when you luck out on lower ping because your spells will go off and land all that faster.

Death Knights received comparatively few new talents compared to other classes. This was partially due to the huge amount of talents that were shifted around between the trees. At various stages in Wrath of the Lich King each jordan shoes Death Knight tree has been viable for tanking, that's going away. New Active Talents

Blood:


Bone Shield - Okay, so this isn't new. It's a pretty big change for Blood though! Surrounds the Death Knight with 3 Whirling bones, each bone absorbs 20% damage from any source and the DK deals 2% more damage with all abilities while Bone shield is active. Lasts 5 mins. 1 min cooldown.


Frost:


Pillar of Frost - Calls upon the power of Frost to increase the Death Knight's strength by 20%. Icy crystals hang heavy upon the Death Knight's body, providing immunity against external movement such as knockbacks. Lasts 20 sec. 1 min cooldown.


Unholy:


Unholy Frenzy - Induces a friendly unit into a killing frenzy for 30 sec. That target is Enraged, which increases their melee and ranged haste by 20%, but causes them to lose health equal to 3% of their maximum health every 2 sec. 3 min cooldown.


New Passive Talents

Blood:


Scarlet Fever- Gives your Blood Boil a 50% chance per talent point to afflict enemies with Scarlet Fever, reducing their physical damage dealt by 10% for 30 sec. (2 points)


Hand of Doom - Reduces the cooldown of your Strangulate ability by 30 sec per point. (2 points)


Sanguine Fortitude - While active, your Icebound Fortitude reduces damage taken by an additional 15%/30% and costs 50%/0% runic power to activate. (2 points)


Crimson Scourge - Increases the damage dealt by your Blood Boil by 20% per point, and when you Plague Strike a target that is already infected nike shoes with Blood Plague, there is a 50% chance per point that your next Blood Boil will consume no runes. (2 points)


Frost:


Brittle Bones - Your Strength is increased by 2% per point and your Frost Fever chills the bones of its victims, increasing their physical damage taken by 2% per point. (2 points)


Might of the Frozen Wastes - When wielding a two-handed weapon, your autoattacks have a 15% chance per point to generate 100 Runic Power. (3 points)


Unholy:


Resilient Infection - When your Blood Plague or Frost Fever is dispelled, you have a 50% chance per point to have the rune cost refunded. Does not apply to diseases spread via Pestilence. (2 points)


Corrupting Strikes - Increases the damage of your Plague Strike, Scourge Strike, and Festering Strike abilities by 10% per point. (3 points)


Sudden Doom - Your autoattacks have a 5% chance per point to make your next Death Coil cost no Runic Power. (3 points)


Analysis

Death Knights in Wrath of the Lich King were an extremely versatile class capable of filling many roles. An unfortunate side effect of that versatility was that they lacked a clearly defined role in many situations with each tree being a muddle of defensive, offensive, and utility abilities.


Cataclysm talent trees are significantly less muddled. Most of the passive defenses have been removed from Frost and Unholy and given to Blood. Each of these trees were compensated for the loss of an active ability by receiving a powerful active damage dealing cooldown.


One of the most notable changes is the removal of some of the area of effect abilities. Wandering Plague, which is arguably the most powerful passive AoE in the game, is gone. Talents that passively increased diseases like Crypt Fever nike shoes have also disappeared. This is not surprising, however, given the systematic nerfing and removal of AoE abilities that has been going on in the Cataclysm Beta.


Frost underwent some massive changes for the better. The tree was streamlined incredibly, condensing the long and expensive talent chain to get Improved Icy Talons to just 1 talent point down from 9. With the removal of tanking talents and addition of another strong raid buff in the form of Brittle Bones and a very powerful damage cooldown - Pillar of Frost - the Frost tree is looking very appealing.

Blessure hémorragique (niveau 83) : cette technique appliquera un effet de saignement sur la cible. Si la cible se déplace, le saignement gagne une charge supplémentaire (jusqu’à un maximum de trois) et sa durée est réinitialisée. Il est actuellement prévu que cette technique n’ait pas de temps de recharge, coûte 10 points de rage et ait une durée de 9 secondes. Blessure hémorragique est conçue pour être moins puissante que Pourfendre avec une seule charge, mais plus puissante quand elle est cumulée trois fois, ce qu’on atteint quand on se bat avec une cible qui se déplace.


Bond héroïque (niveau 85) : cette technique fait bondir le personnage sur sa cible et fait subir la technique Coup de tonnerre à tous les ennemis dans la zone où il atterrit. Bond héroïque est utilisable en posture de combat et partage le temps de recharge de Charge, mais les talents Mastodonte et Porteguerre permettront à Bond héroïque d’être utilisé avec n’importe quelle posture et peut-être en combat. Le temps de recharge de cette technique sera peut-être plus long que celui de Charge, mais elle aura en plus un effet d’étourdissement, vous permettant d’être certain que la cible sera toujours là quand vous atterrissez.


Changements apportés aux techniques et mécanismes


En plus d’ajouter de nouvelles techniques, nous prévoyons d’apporter des changements à certains des autres mécanismes et techniques que vous connaissez. Afin de rendre l’affaiblissement Frappe mortelle moins indispensable mais quand même utile en JcJ, il réduira les soins de 20% seulement. Tous les affaiblissements similaires, dont ceux du prêtre Ombre et du mage Givre, réduiront les soins de 20%. Pour le moment, nous n’envisageons pas de donner cet affaiblissement à quelqu’un d’autre, mais nous prendrons en compte l’utilité en JcJ pour les spécialisations historiquement moins représentées en JcJ qui utilisent d’autres mécanismes.


• Fracasser armure pourra être cumulé trois fois au lieu de cinq et réduira toujours l’armure de 4% pour chacune. Nous voulons que cet affaiblissement soit plus facile à appliquer et fasse moins varier les dégâts quand il disparaît.


Talents : nouveautés et modifications


• Le talent Fracassement furieux de la branche Fureur permettra à la technique Fracasser armure d’infliger 25/50% des dégâts de l’arme et réduira la menace générée de 50/100%.


• Les talents Spécialisation Masse et Hache d’hast dans l’arbre Armes seront supprimés. Ils offraient uniquement des gucci handbags statistiques passives, qui ne correspondent pas au type de talents que nous voulons concevoir à l’avenir. Nous conserverons le talent Spécialisation Épée, mais il sera changé en un talent qui s’appliquera à tous les types d’armes.
